Portable Claims He Made ₦70 Million from Boxing Match Against Speed Darlington
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed that he earned a staggering ₦70 million from his recent celebrity boxing match with fellow artist Speed Darlington.
The much-publicized fight took place on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, marking the end of their heated rivalry. Portable emerged victorious in the bout, reportedly leaving Speed Darlington with a shoulder injury serious enough to require medical attention — despite the latter's bold pre-fight theatrics, including arriving with a casket as a taunt.
In a recent interview, Portable detailed the financial breakdown of his earnings from the event. According to him, he received an upfront payment of ₦30 million just for agreeing to participate. Following his victory, he earned an additional ₦20 million.
He also claimed that award-winning artist Burna Boy promised him ₦20 million if he won the fight — a promise he says was fulfilled, bringing his total earnings to ₦70 million.
